What inspired you to join CA?

“Professionally I wanted to tackle the challenge of working with a wide range of clients with differing priorities, positions, and templates. Working with Contracts Associates allows me to use my research and problem-solving skills to help resolve any issues facing our clients, while our virtual work environment enables me to maximize my time and effectiveness.”

What motivates you in your work?

“Throughout my career as an attorney in the life sciences industry, I’ve been fortunate to acquire a unique “360 perspective”—over the years, I’ve honed my expertise by working on both sides of the CRO-Sponsor collaboration. My career started supporting contract negotiation at a CRO, and then I eventually moved on to sponsors of various sizes. I also worked as a consulting attorney for a major law firm, often providing support to clinical research sites. My ability to leverage this combined experience translates into real value for our clients through expedited negotiation by giving me a deep understanding of each party’s expectations and priorities.”

Earning her JD at The University of North Carolina School of Law and a Master of Public Administration from North Carolina State University, Danielle has almost a decade of experience with clinical trial agreements. Her past legal experience includes supporting Immunogen as Contracts Counsel, providing broad legal support to the clinical development and regulatory groups, as well as the General Counsel.  Additionally, she served as Data Protection Officer, drafting updated privacy policies and ensuring company-wide compliance with applicable privacy regulations, including the GDPR. Danielle is currently completing IAPP training with an aim to soon be a Certified Information Privacy Professional/Europe (CIPP/E), as well as a Certified Information Privacy Manager (CIPM). Prior to Immunogen, she worked at bluebird bio and was the North American Legal Hub at Biogen.
